I am an experienced leisure painter. My art education, over many years, has been through part time further education courses. I work in many different media, including charcoal, pastel, silk, watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media. I have recently started using an IPod for art, using "doodle buddy", "pop art" and "photoshop mobile". I am currently Chairperson at Farsley and District Art Club, in West Yorkshire.

My husband, Chris, was diagnosed in 2009 with motor neurone disease. His walking was affected as early as 2001 and it was thought that he had an arthritic condition of the spine. However, other symptoms appeared and he now has a form of MND.

More about the MNDA...

I want to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease, and also money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association by doing The Great wall of China Trek in May 2011.

Dazzle Prints 2008 (Limited Edition)

The Dazzle work was based on the graphic paradox of a distinct pattern creating an indistinct image. These painters of WW1 'Dazzle' ships were attempting to confuse enemy submarine captains as to the shape, speed and direction of their vessel, with disruptive shapes.

However when the award winning artist heard about my project, he was very happy to be involved and immediately offered more paintings for the cause.
